Thursday, 4:00-5:30 pm, Suitable for ages 8-11 (Kids Club)
Then, 6.00-7.30 pm, Suitable for ages 12-16
*Although the sessions are generally targeted, they are open to all young people aged between 8ā16. (There are exceptions on agreed upon occasions whereby parents will be required to stay and supervise their child/children, such as one-off family-style events.)Ā In-house, we offer a wide variety of activities alongside our set sessions.
These include:
Sports, Table tennis, Pool, Varied Crafts sessions, and even gaming consoles. (Switch, PS4, and Xbox 360 console.)
The Kids Club takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at SSNC from 4:00-5:30 pm and is generally suitable for ages 8-11.Ā During the spring and summer months, the majority of our activities are spent outside.
The clubs are a great way for local young people to meet new friends, there are always a wide range ofĀ (age-appropriate) activities on offer each week, including anything from chalking-out hop-scotch and tic-tac-toe in the large outdoor area, parachuting, gaming, arts and crafts – and even trips out to local entertainment facilities in the summer months. Refreshments, Support and Advice and more are always available in each session.
Beyond this, SSNCĀ link other activities at times to support the growth and development of the young people who attend these sessions.
(This is both within the Kids Club sessions AND the Youth Club sessions for our ‘older’ young people.)
In the Youth Club, we also offer numerous activities for young people. In these sessions, they are often planned by the attendees themselves. This shows their continuing development with us, as many of our members tend to transition from our Kids Club. We can see how they become self-directed and take initiative in improving themselves and their local community. This can be directly seen on our newsfeed on the Facebook page, and right here on this very website, on the following pages:
The SSNC work in tandem with external agencies and are in partnership with the Maxlife youth projectĀ and Child Dynamix, helping our young people continuously develop their social and life skills.
Beyond this, SSNC always endeavour to provide a safe space, enabling our young people to relax, have fun and try new things that may support the futures they are working towards.
